Phillip Sunganani Mhango was born in Lilongwe, Malawi, on the 6th July, 1982. He hails from Karonga, a district to the northern part of Malawi. Phillip is a qualified secondary school teacher, Marketer, and Administrator. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Education Degree from Mzuzu University, Mzuzu, Malawi, and an International Masters of Business Administration (IMBA) from CQ University, P.R. China.
Phillip has the desire to make a difference in the lives of young people, and help them to exploit their full potential, in various ways. He has taught in several secondary schools in Malawi, with the Ministry of Education Science and Technology. In all the schools he has worked, he has taught Life Skills to the youngsters, did Guidance and Counseling, and has been part of the schools’ sports organizing team.
His experience has helped him gain an insight into the various needs and potential that young people have in sports and life in general. He has guided and supported young people in their personal, social and educational development in order to help them reach their full potential in the society.
Throughout his career progression, Phillip has done substantial youth and community work, either paid or voluntary with other Non-Governmental Organisations. He has experience and skills in HIV/AIDS programming, Resource Mobilisation, Program Design and Implementation, and many others. He is also a soccer, netball and hockey instructor. His presence at the MGRSDF will help in the designing and implementation of youth friendly programmes and mobilisation of resources for the Foundation and the Soccer Academy.
